Can I live in my home during a whole-home renovation in Vancouver?
Sometimes yes, sometimes no — it depends on scope. A phased renovation (kitchen first, then bathrooms, then bedrooms) can often keep the home liveable. A gut-and-rebuild with HVAC, electrical, and structural work happening simultaneously usually requires relocating. We will model both options in your written quote.
What's the difference between a remodel and a rebuild?
A remodel works within the existing footprint and structure — same walls, same envelope, new everything inside. A rebuild involves teardown or major structural alteration: removing load-bearing walls, expanding the foundation, raising the roofline. We do both, and the consultation is where we determine which is right for your project.
How long does a whole-home renovation take in Greater Vancouver?
Typical scope runs 3–6 months on-site, plus 1–3 months of pre-construction time for permits, drawings, and material ordering. Larger heritage homes, structural additions, or extensive landscape integration extend that range.
Do you handle structural changes and permits?

Can you help with design, or do I need an architect first?
